TENNESSEE — Two people riding a motorcycle were injured Sunday afternoon after a car failed to yield on Highway 75, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).

The crash occurred at 1:58 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 75 and Highway 1992.

THP reported that an 83-year-old driver of a Volvo S60 was traveling north on Highway 75 and attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 1992.

At the same time, a Harley-Davidson Street Glide was approaching from the opposite direction in the southbound lane.

As the Volvo crossed into the southbound lane, the motorcycle struck the car on its right side, THP said.

The two individuals on the motorcycle were injured, though the extent of their injuries has not been released. The driver of the Volvo was not injured and has been charged with Failure to Yield Right of Way.

The incident remains under investigation.
