
GEORGIA — Two pedestrians were injured in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in Atlanta, according to police.
The Atlanta Police Department said officers responded around 3:30 a.m. to the intersection of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard near the Vine City neighborhood.
Authorities said two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle at the intersection.
One of the victims was reported to be in critical condition. The second victim was transported to a hospital and was described as alert, conscious and breathing.
Police said the driver involved in the crash fled the scene.
No additional details about the suspect or vehicle have been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
