
ARIZONA — Two people were injured Monday evening in a three-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 10 near Vail, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Troopers responded to the crash around 6:03 p.m. near milepost 291, which led to a temporary closure of the interstate at March Station Road.
Authorities said one person in a passenger vehicle suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to a Tucson hospital. Officials noted the injuries could potentially result in the loss of an arm.
Another person in the same vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The roadway reopened at approximately 9:13 p.m. Monday.
The crash remains under investigation.
