
FLORIDA — A man and a woman from Pensacola have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to fentanyl trafficking, according to U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin.
Federal prosecutors said Ke Anthony Javon Blackmon, 29, and Averee Kathryn Savage, 27, both of Pensacola, are charged with conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing fentanyl. Both are also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to court records, Blackmon is scheduled to appear in court on March 16, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. Savage is scheduled for a court appearance on Jan. 20, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
Prosecutors said that if convicted, each defendant faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years to life in federal prison on the drug charges. The firearm charge carries a maximum possible sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
The case is being handled in federal court, and no additional details were immediately released.
