GEORGIA — Gwinnett County police are investigating a double homicide after two people were found shot to death inside a car Friday night.
Officers were first called around 10 p.m. to the 3200 block of Windscape Village Lane, where they found a man with a neck wound and a witness at the scene. Shortly afterward, police learned of two people inside a vehicle near Harbins Road and Harbins Point Lane in unincorporated Lilburn, less than a mile from the initial call. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the two locations are connected.
A suspect, 54-year-old Javier Ruiz, was arrested by Tennessee state troopers and is being held at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in Springfield.
The victims have not yet been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
