VIRGINIA — Police are investigating a double homicide that occurred Sunday morning in Northwest Roanoke.
According to the Roanoke Police Department, officers responded around 9:18 a.m. to reports of two men suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle in the 2000 block of Carroll Avenue NW. When officers arrived, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identities of the victims or details about a possible suspect. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
Police reported a large law enforcement presence remained in the area late Sunday morning as the investigation continued.
