OHIO — Police are investigating after two people were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in what authorities say may be a murder-suicide.
Officers responded to a home in the 200 block of W. 29th Street around 10 p.m. Saturday for a welfare check requested by concerned family members.
According to a statement from the Lorain Police Department, 63-year-old Anthony Coonrod and 30-year-old Emily Simmons were found deceased at the scene.
“Initial information gathered suggests the case may be a possible murder-suicide,” the department said in a news release. “No outside suspects are being sought at this time.”
