NORTH CAROLINA — Two people were found dead Monday in what investigators have determined to be a murder-suicide, according to a news release from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a home in Walkertown after receiving a request for a welfare check.
Family or friends reported that Alma Laverne Blaylock, 56, had not been heard from since Friday.
Upon arrival, deputies noticed what appeared to be a bullet hole fired from inside the residence.
They forced entry into the home and discovered two deceased individuals in the primary bedroom.
The victims were identified as Blaylock and Larry Dean Oglesby, 63, of Winston-Salem. Investigators concluded that Oglesby fatally shot Blaylock before taking his own life.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
