
VIRGINIA — Two people were detained following a shooting at a car dealership in Mecklenburg County on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Authorities said officers with the South Hill Police Department responded just after 3:30 p.m. on March 26 to a report of shots fired at Hardee Ford, located at 1305 W. Danville Street in the South Hill area.
Police confirmed that one person was shot during the incident. The victim’s condition has not been released.
Officials said two suspects have been detained and are currently being questioned.
“Based on preliminary information, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” police said in a March 26 press release.
Officers remained on scene as of Thursday evening, and the investigation is ongoing.
No additional details have been released.
