VIRGINIA — Two 70-year-old women died after a single-vehicle crash in Caroline County on Sunday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.
Troopers were called to the 16000 block of Pepmeier Hill Road at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Nov. 9.
Investigators say Phyllis D. Washington, 70, was driving a Chevrolet Equinox eastbound when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Washington and her passenger, 70-year-old Nora Sabrina Clinton, were transported to a nearby hospital, where both later died from their injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
