
TENNESSEE — At least two people were killed early Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 24 in southeast Nashville, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the Old Hickory Boulevard exit, close to the Rutherford County line. Traffic camera footage from the Tennessee Department of Transportation showed that the collision involved an Amazon tractor-trailer and at least three other vehicles.
All eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours as crews worked at the scene. The interstate fully reopened to traffic shortly after 9 a.m.
No further details about the victims or the cause of the crash have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
