OHIO — A second person has died following a crash Monday evening at the intersection of state Route 170 and Unity Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. when the driver of a Chevy Colorado traveling southbound on Route 170 crossed the center line and collided with a Honda Accord driven by 44-year-old Angela Brown of New Middletown.

Brown died at the scene, and her vehicle overturned in a ditch.

Two children in the Accord were flown to a hospital by medical helicopter.

One later died from injuries, while the other remains in critical condition.

Multiple emergency units responded to the crash.

OSHP stated that alcohol is believed to be a factor, but the incident remains under investigation.
