OHIO — Two people were killed early Sunday in a crash on Interstate 75, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers from the Wapakoneta Post responded at 6:12 a.m. to the southbound lanes of I-75 near the Cridersville exit.

An OSHP spokesperson said a 2019 Kia Soul went off the right side of the roadway and struck an abandoned 2007 Ford Edge.

Both vehicles caught fire, and the driver and passenger of the Kia died at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
