OHIO — Two people were killed and another remains in critical condition following a three-vehicle crash Saturday evening, according to the Middletown Division of Police.
Officers responded to the intersection of State Route 122 and Dixie Highway around 6 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash.
Three people were transported to Atrium Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said. One of the victims was pronounced dead upon arrival. The two others were later flown to Miami Valley Hospital, where one of them died from their injuries.
The third victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Investigators said they do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash. The cause remains under investigation.
