OHIO — Two men were killed Monday afternoon after a vehicle collided with the back of a semitrailer in Groveport, officials said.
According to Madison Township Fire Chief Derek Robinson, the crash occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. near the 5800 block of Green Pointe Drive, just off Groveport Road.
Robinson said the vehicle struck the rear of the semi at a high rate of speed. Both men inside the vehicle were pronounced dead at 3:41 p.m. The driver of the semitrailer was not injured.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. Green Pointe Drive remained closed in the area following the crash, and it is unclear when the road will reopen.
