OHIO — Two women were killed and several others injured in a head-on crash on U.S. 23 Wednesday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).
Troopers responded to the scene just after 8:30 p.m. in Delaware County.
OSHP said a 2018 Dodge Ram traveling south crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a 2021 Toyota Venza head-on. The truck then hit a 2025 Honda Accord head-on before coming to rest against a guardrail.
Both the Ram and the Accord caught fire following the crash.
Two passengers in the Venza — 64-year-old Carol Waldman and 54-year-old Amanda Reidling — were pronounced dead at the scene. The Venza’s driver, a fourth passenger, and the pickup truck’s driver were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to OSHP.
The driver of the Accord and an 8-year-old passenger had minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
The crash remains under investigation.
