NORTH CAROLINA — A husband and wife died Thursday morning following a head-on collision on US 13 near Frog Level Road, according to the State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 5:55 a.m. Authorities said 34-year-old Dustin Myatt of Snow Hill was driving a Nissan passenger car southbound when it veered into the center turn lane and struck a box truck head-on.
Dustin Myatt and his wife, 35-year-old Sterling Mayor Myatt, who was a passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene. The box truck driver was taken to ECU Health in Greenville with injuries that were not life-threatening.
