KENTUCKY — Two people were killed and five others were injured Tuesday following a crash on the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe County, according to officials.
Kentucky State Police confirmed that troopers responded to the scene at the 47-mile marker. Morgan County EMS reported the fatalities and injuries, though details about the victims have not yet been released.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said both directions of the Mountain Parkway are currently blocked at the crash site. It is unclear how long the roadway will remain closed.
Drivers are being advised to use KY 191 and KY 205 at Exit 46 and Exit 57 as detours while emergency crews work the scene and clear the highway.
