
KENTUCKY — Two people died Tuesday afternoon after a crash along U.S. Highway 27 in the Stearns community, according to Kentucky State Police.
The crash occurred just before 1 p.m. when a southbound SUV driven by 68-year-old Pearl Goodin of Parkers Lake left the road, struck a guardrail, and overturned multiple times.
KSP reported that neither Goodin nor her passenger, 73-year-old James Goodin, were wearing seat belts. Both were ejected from the vehicle.
Pearl Goodin was pronounced dead at the scene, while James Goodin was transported to a local hospital and later died.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
