
KANSAS — Two people were killed late Sunday night in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 75 in Jackson County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred around midnight on Feb. 9, less than a mile south of the intersection with 302nd Road. Investigators determined that a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it collided head-on with a 2010 Ford Fusion.
The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the driver of the Pontiac as 62-year-old Nadine A. Aylesworth of Whiting. The driver of the Ford was identified as 18-year-old Heather S. K. Browning of Goff.
No additional information about the cause of the crash was immediately available. The investigation remains ongoing.
