FLORIDA — Two teenagers from Mascotte were killed early Sunday morning in a fiery crash in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash happened around 12:48 a.m. at County Road 565 and Sloans Ridge Road.
Investigators say a 2018 Dodge Challenger was traveling south on County Road 565 when the driver lost control. The vehicle ran off the roadway, struck multiple trees, and caught fire.
The 19-year-old driver and a 17-year-old passenger, both from Mascotte, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
