
SOUTH CAROLINA — Two men were killed and three others injured in a shooting early Sunday morning at a bar in Anderson, according to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office.
Officials said Anderson County 911 received a call just after 3:15 a.m. for a shooting at 208 West Franklin Street. Responders arrived to find multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Two victims, identified as Calvin Chester Jr. and Roymad McDaniel, were pronounced dead at the scene. The Coroner’s Office said Chester was shot in the head and McDaniel was shot in the chest. Both deaths have been ruled homicides, and autopsies are scheduled for this week.
Investigators said the victims were at Truth Bar and Grill when a fight broke out, leading to gunfire.
Three other people were taken to AnMed Health for treatment of their injuries.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office and the Anderson City Police Department are continuing to investigate.
