
INDIANA — Two men were killed in a shooting on Indianapolis’ southeast side early Sunday morning, according to police.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded just before 6 a.m. on Feb. 1 to a report of shots fired in the 2700 block of Barrington Avenue, near Renton and East Minnesota streets. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released the identities of the victims and have not provided information about a suspect or a possible motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
In a related incident, IMPD officers responded around 6:30 a.m. to a report of a walk-in shooting victim at Community East Hospital. Police said an adult male and an adult female arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds. Both victims were reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators have not said whether the hospital incident is directly connected to the fatal shooting on Barrington Avenue.
