OHIO — Two people are dead following a shooting at a southeast Columbus apartment complex Wednesday afternoon.
Columbus police responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 4:35 p.m. in the 4100 block of Blakewell Lane East.
A woman arriving at the apartment discovered two individuals who had been shot.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:41 p.m., while the second was transported to Mount Carmel East in critical condition but later succumbed to their injuries at 5:04 p.m.
Authorities have not released any suspect information, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear.
The investigation is ongoing.
