
TENNESSEE — A multi-vehicle crash in Claiborne County on Friday afternoon claimed the lives of two people, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).
The crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Cumberland Gap Parkway and Patterson Road.
A preliminary THP report states that a Ford F-250 was traveling south when it crossed the center median and struck two northbound vehicles, a Honda CRV and a Dodge Ram 1500.
The drivers of the northbound vehicles, identified as 20-year-old Eliza Dakota Leight and 45-year-old David Michael Lewis, died in the collision.
The driver of the Ford F-250 was injured.
Authorities said charges could be filed against the 57-year-old man pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
