
SOUTH CAROLINA — Two people are dead following a motorcycle crash Sunday morning in Aiken County, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
Officials said the crash occurred around 10:51 a.m. in the 2000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway and involved a 2026 Kawasaki motorcycle and a 2020 Subaru.
Authorities said the motorcycle was traveling west on Jefferson Davis Highway when it collided with the Subaru.
The motorcycle operator and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene around 11 a.m., according to the coroner’s office.
The driver of the Subaru was transported to a hospital with injuries.
Officials said autopsies are scheduled for next week in Newberry. The identities of the victims have not been released, and notification of next of kin is still pending.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the crash.
