OHIO — Two people were killed late Monday night in a motorcycle crash on state Route 43 in Stark County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:57 p.m. on June 24, when a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound struck a southbound 2021 Subaru Forester that was turning into a private driveway.

The motorcycle was operated by Richard Townsend Jr., 53, of Magnolia, with Jennifer Byers, 48, of Navarre riding as a passenger.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene by the Stark County Coroner’s Office. Authorities said neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
