OHIO — Two drivers were killed in a head-on crash Wednesday night in Warren County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Ohio Route 63 near Ohio Route 741.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 2012 Mercedes S550 sedan traveling eastbound crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2009 Kia Sedona minivan head-on.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified them as 19-year-old Tyler Desparois, who was driving the Mercedes, and 33-year-old Kelly Hitchcock, who was driving the Kia. Both were from Lebanon.
State Route 63 was closed for about four hours while troopers investigated but has since reopened. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lebanon post said it was assisted at the scene by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Turtlecreek Township Fire Department, Ohio Department of Transportation, Warren County Coroner’s Office, and Case Towing.
