Two people dead following fire at Ohio mobile home

OHIO — Two people died Saturday morning after a fire broke out at a mobile home in Fairfield County.

According to fire officials, the blaze started around 6:50 a.m. at a residence in Greenfield Township.

Emergency crews pulled two individuals from the home and transported them to Fairfield Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead.

The victims were identified as 81-year-old Juanita Shaeffer and 56-year-old Michael Shaeffer.

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Fire Marshal are investigating the cause and circumstances of the fire.
