WISCONSIN — Two adults died Sunday after an SUV crashed into a tree and caught fire near the intersection of Appleton and Fairmount avenues, the Milwaukee Fire Department reported.
Firefighters were dispatched just before 4 p.m. and responded to an extrication assignment.
The SUV was already engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived.
The fire department confirmed the deaths of two adults at the scene. It was not immediately clear if any other vehicles were involved in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
