ALABAMA — An adult man and a 3-year-old child were killed after being struck by a vehicle in Bessemer on Sunday night, authorities said.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the victims were identified as 33-year-old Orlin Dariel-Rodriguez and 3-year-old Jared Ramos. The two were reportedly in the roadway on Eastern Valley Road when they were hit by a vehicle around 8 p.m.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
