TENNESSEE — Two juvenile males, aged 16 and 17, were arrested after multiple reports of objects being thrown at tractor-trailers from an overpass on I-640 in Knoxville.
The teens face charges of reckless endangerment.
The first incident occurred early Tuesday morning when a tractor-trailer driver reported his windshield being shattered by an object thrown from an overpass near Bruhin Road.
Officers were unable to identify any suspects at the time.
The following morning, at 2:30 a.m., officers were called back to the same location after several more reports of tractor-trailers being struck by objects.
Surveillance footage from TDOT cameras showed two individuals walking on a railroad overpass, leading authorities to locate and arrest the suspects on Central Avenue Pike.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident.
Investigators are also looking into whether the teens were involved in a vandalism incident in the same area on Tuesday.
