NORTH CAROLINA — Two people have been arrested after authorities say bomb threats were made at the Cleveland County Clerk’s Office earlier this week.

According to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, the threats were reported Tuesday, with two separate threats made within an hour of each other.

Officials said the clerk’s office building was immediately secured and evacuated as a precaution. Emergency personnel conducted a thorough search of the facility and determined there was no threat inside the building.

Following an investigation, deputies identified and arrested Trenity Glenn Campbell and Angel Lee McManus. Both are charged with one count of making a false report concerning a destructive device.

Authorities said both suspects are being held without bond at the Cleveland County Detention Center.

The incident remains under investigation.
