Two people arrested following theft incident in Alabama

ALABAMA — Two people have been arrested in connection with a theft incident at a business on East University Drive.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at a business in the 2900 block of East University Drive on November 9.

When officers arrived, they made contact with the suspects as they were leaving the store.

The suspects, identified as 51-year-old James Jackson III and 45-year-old Shadrika Jackson, were taken into custody and charged with organized retail theft.

Both individuals are being held in the Lee County Jail on $10,000 bonds.
