VIRGINIA — Two Roanoke residents were arrested following a police chase in Martinsville involving a stolen U-Haul truck, authorities said.
Martinsville Police attempted to stop the vehicle on Liberty Street after Flock cameras alerted officers that the U-Haul, driven by 32-year-old Kalley Gabrielson, had been reported stolen out of Roanoke.
Gabrielson did not stop, leading to a chase of more than 10 miles before the truck crashed on Bassett Heights Road in Henry County.
Gabrielson was charged with felony elude, grand larceny, and destruction of property. A 24-year-old passenger, Michael Roberts, was charged with grand larceny and carrying a concealed weapon.
Both were arrested without incident and taken to the Martinsville City Jail.
