OHIO — Two juvenile girls are in custody after police said they caused a teenager to overdose and then committed theft at the Kettering Recreation Waterpark.
According to Kettering police, the girls gave a 13-year-old boy a THC gummy earlier this week, leading to a reported overdose.
The boy was evaluated by medics at the scene and was not seriously injured.
Police said the girls fled the waterpark afterward, stealing money and credit cards from a wallet left in the bathrooms. Investigators later tracked them down after they used one of the stolen credit cards at the Greene Town Center across the street.
The two were arrested, charged with felony theft, and taken to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.
