GEORGIA — Two people were arrested Wednesday afternoon following a search warrant executed by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at a home on Fairington Drive.
During the search, a deputy K9 alerted officers to suspicious items in the kitchen. Investigators found large quantities of narcotics hidden in a dishwasher and suitcase, including 12,397.7 grams of methamphetamine, 605.7 grams of cocaine (powder and crack), 758.4 grams of marijuana, and 19.2 grams of oxycodone (178 pills).
Additional drugs, including crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana, and oxycodone pills, were recovered from the master bedroom. All substances tested positive during field testing.
Authorities identified the residents as Seymore and Martin. Investigators said Seymore admitted ownership of the illegal items during questioning. Both were arrested and taken to the Richmond County Jail.
Officials described the seizure as one of the larger drug busts in recent months, removing thousands of grams of dangerous narcotics from circulation.
