Two people arrested following drug investigation in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — Two people were arrested on drug-related charges after an investigation by Kentucky State Police and the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

According to police, troopers went to a residence on Caney Fork Road in Morgantown on October 12 to serve an arrest warrant.

When officers arrived, they observed several individuals inside an RV on the property and reported smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle.

During a search of the RV, officers found suspected fentanyl, multiple scales, and a quantity of cash believed to be linked to drug trafficking.

Police arrested Monica Morgann, 44, of Fredonia, and Jachob Adams, 23, of Russellville. Both were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; and tampering with physical evidence.

Morgann and Adams were booked into the Butler County Jail. Trooper Brent Davis is leading the ongoing investigation with assistance from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
