VIRGINIA — Two women are facing numerous charges following a weekend drug bust in Prince William County, according to police.

Investigators with the Manassas City Police Department Special Problems Unit said the arrests were made Saturday during a narcotics investigation in the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Court.

Police reported finding a large quantity of suspected drugs and related items inside the residence, including 232 small bags of suspected crack cocaine, two large bags of suspected cocaine, one bottle of suspected PCP, one large bag of white powder, approximately 1,000 empty small bags, and two digital scales.

Before entering the home, officers noticed a wanted individual, identified as 30-year-old Alexis Smith, on the property. Police said someone who answered the door told officers Smith was not inside. After entering the residence, officers located narcotics and paraphernalia and later found Smith and another wanted person, 21-year-old Michelle Tenango Sotelo, hiding inside a restroom. Both were taken into custody without incident.

Smith is charged with two counts of distribution with intent to distribute drugs, failure to appear, and multiple Prince William County warrants for forgery, false identification, and obstruction of justice. She also faces Manassas Park warrants for possession of drugs, failure to pay for hospitality services, and forgery.

Tenango Sotelo is charged with two counts of pretrial violations, a Prince William County warrant for failure to pay for hospitality services, and Manassas Park warrants for destruction of property and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The investigation remains ongoing.
