TEXAS — Two suspects were arrested following a traffic stop and subsequent search that led to the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription pills in Gillespie County, according to authorities.
The investigation began on March 25 when a Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office patrol sergeant conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Noe Mondragon.
During the stop, deputies say Mondragon was found in possession of suspected cocaine and various prescription medications. He was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Following the arrest, investigators obtained a search warrant for Mondragon’s residence.
During the search, authorities say they discovered additional quantities of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and materials commonly used for packaging drugs. Mondragon now faces additional charges, including manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.
A second suspect, identified as Jose Ignacio Argumedo Sanchez, was also identified during the investigation. Deputies arrested Sanchez at a local bar and grill on active warrants related to manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. Authorities say he was also found in possession of cocaine at the time of his arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing.
