TEXAS — Two people were arrested Wednesday after authorities executed a search warrant at a home in Randall County and discovered methamphetamine, prescription pills and counterfeit currency.
According to the Randall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies initially went to a residence on Brandes Street near Tradewind Street to serve an arrest warrant for Khloey Saldivar.
When deputies arrived, Alberto Maldonado answered the door. Officials said deputies informed Maldonado they were there to locate Saldivar. While speaking with him, deputies reported observing drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the living room.
Authorities detained all occupants of the home to prevent the possible destruction of evidence. During the investigation, officials said Saldivar admitted to having methamphetamine in her personal belongings.
Deputies then obtained a search warrant for the residence. During the search, authorities said they located approximately 14 gross grams of methamphetamine, two prescription pill bottles that were not prescribed to anyone in the home and several counterfeit U.S. currency bills.
Saldivar was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled substance PG 1/1B less than 1 gram, as well as an on-view charge of possession of a controlled substance PG 1 less than 1 gram.
Maldonado was arrested on multiple on-view charges, including manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance PG 1 between 4 and 200 grams, two counts of delivery or offer to deliver dangerous drugs, forgery of a government or national instrument, money or security, and resisting arrest, search or transport.
Both Saldivar and Maldonado were booked into the Randall County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
