TENNESSEE — Two individuals were arrested Thursday, July 10, in connection with separate drug-related investigations in Warren County, following a coordinated effort by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the McMinnville City Police Department.

The first arrest involved Curtis Michael Turner of McMinnville.

Authorities received a tip that Turner was in possession of illegal drugs and obtained a search warrant for his residence.

The search resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, and lorazepam, a prescription anti-anxiety medication.

Turner was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Warren County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including:

  • Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance
  • Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Later that day, officers received information that Robert Gordon Johnson, a convicted sex offender from Rutherford County, was en route to McMinnville to deliver a large amount of fentanyl. Law enforcement intercepted his vehicle, searched it, and found fentanyl and LSD in his possession.

Johnson was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
  • Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
  • Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Violation of the Sex Offender Registration

“These arrests are a result of ongoing and strong collaboration between local law enforcement agencies to keep dangerous drugs out of our community,” said Warren County Sheriff Jackie D. Matheny, Jr. “We remain committed to holding accountable those who continue to bring illegal substances into Warren County. Our work will continue.”

Both Turner and Johnson remain in custody as the investigation continues.
