TENNESSEE — Two men were arrested Tuesday in Cookeville following a joint drug investigation that led to the seizure of multiple narcotics, firearms and cash, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities said agents began investigating in January after receiving an online tip alleging illegal drug sales in Cookeville. The investigation involved the TBI’s Investigation Division, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and the Cookeville Police Department.

On Tuesday, investigators executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of East Broad Street. During the search, officials reported seizing marijuana, cocaine, MDMA, THC cartridges, seven firearms, multiple rounds of ammunition, drug paraphernalia and approximately $40,000 in cash.

The two men inside the home at the time of the search were identified as Anthony Adler, 23, and Logan Richardson, 24. Both were taken into custody and booked into the Putnam County Jail.

Adler is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell Schedule I, Schedule II and Schedule VI controlled substances, as well as possession of a firearm while committing a dangerous felony. He is being held on a $120,000 bond.

Richardson is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell a Schedule V controlled substance and possession of a firearm while committing a dangerous felony. He is being held on a $40,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing.
