TENNESSEE — A month-long investigation concluded early Tuesday morning with the arrest of two men and the discovery of a large quantity of drugs inside a home in the Soulsville area, according to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force.
In a news release, the task force said agents executed the operation at a residence on Talley Place, where they arrested two men and uncovered what officials described as a “smorgasbord of drugs being sold” inside the home. During the arrests, agents also found a 45-year-old man lying on his stomach inside the residence who had overdosed.
According to the task force, “The victim appeared to have been overdosing for quite some time and other occupants had set food on his back, appearing to be using him as a table.” Officials said the man was transported to a hospital, where he was listed in extremely critical condition.
Agents reported seizing fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, firearms, digital scales and cash from the home. The names of the two men arrested and specific charges were not immediately released. The investigation remains ongoing.
