Two people arrested following drug bust in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — A major drug bust in Lawrence County has led to the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of a large quantity of fentanyl-laced narcotics, authorities said.

On April 10, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Division, along with the county SWAT team, executed a search warrant at 1059 Old Florence Road, Apt. E.

The operation followed citizen complaints and an ongoing investigation into suspected drug activity at the location.

Inside the residence, deputies found approximately six ounces of fentanyl mixed with “bath salts” and methamphetamine, along with an additional two ounces of meth.

Authorities also seized various items of drug paraphernalia, including digital scales, pipes, and small clear bags.

Wanda Shelton and Reagan Mack were taken into custody and charged with multiple drug offenses. Officials say the bust is part of a continued effort to crack down on the sale and distribution of dangerous street drugs in the community.
