SOUTH CAROLINA — Two men are in custody following an undercover drug investigation conducted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET).
The arrests occurred on Aug. 29, 2025, after NET officers arranged a covert meeting with 52-year-old Jermaine Brisbane, who believed he was engaging in drug transactions. Brisbane arrived at a truck stop in Coosawhatchie accompanied by 35-year-old Larry Belcher. Both men were taken into custody without incident.
Brisbane faces multiple charges, including conspiracy to possess fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamines, as well as three outstanding family court bench warrants. Belcher was charged with possession of methamphetamine and conspiracy to possess fentanyl and cocaine.
Both suspects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Sheriff Chris Malphrus praised the NET officers’ work and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to addressing drug-related crimes in the community.
