Two people arrested following drug bust in South Carolina

SOUTH CAROLINA — Two men were arrested after deputies discovered drugs and firearms during a routine traffic stop on Mauldin Road, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

During the stop, deputies found 63 grams of cocaine, 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, 1.9 grams of methamphetamine, three MDMA pills, and two firearms inside the vehicle.

The driver, Carl Parris, was taken into custody after deputies learned he had an active warrant for failure to appear issued by probation, parole, and pardon services.

He was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.

The passenger, Tyus Bell, was also arrested and faces multiple charges, including:

  • Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
  • Trafficking cocaine
  • Possession of MDMA
  • Possession of a weapon by a person prohibited
  • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime

Both men remain in custody as the investigation continues.
