PENNSYLVANIA — An Altoona police stakeout led to multiple arrests for drug-related offenses at a residence on the 2300 block of 5th Avenue, marking the second such operation at the location in less than two months.
On March 10, 42-year-old Matthew Richard Loibl was arrested, along with 25-year-old Darien Alexis Green, after police surveillance reportedly observed a woman passing out on the back porch of Loibl’s home.
This followed a similar stakeout in January, which had previously led to the arrest of a Philadelphia man and uncovered evidence of drug activity.
In the March incident, officers observed the woman, who allegedly admitted to using heroin provided by Green.
Police later entered the residence, where they found Green and two other individuals, including Robert Jones, who had an outstanding warrant.
Officers discovered several drug paraphernalia items, including digital scales and empty blue stamp baggies, throughout the house.
A search of the home also uncovered additional evidence of illegal drug activity, including a syringe with blood.
Green and Loibl were both arrested and taken to the Altoona Police Department.
Green’s bail was set at $35,000, while Loibl’s bail was set at $75,000. Both remain in Blair County Prison.
