OHIO — A routine traffic stop in Eaton Saturday evening led to the arrest of two men after deputies recovered a bag of suspected methamphetamine tossed from a car window.
According to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over a Dodge Dart around 7:30 p.m. for a license plate violation.
As the car came to a stop, the passenger reportedly threw a baggie out of the window.
Deputies recovered the bag, which contained approximately 30 grams of suspected meth.
The passenger, identified as Brian Henson, and the driver, Brandon Shopher, allegedly admitted they had traveled from Indiana to Montgomery County to purchase the drugs.
Both men have been charged with aggravated possession of drugs and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Henson faces an additional charge of tampering with evidence.
Henson and Shopher are being held at the Preble County Jail. Bail has been set.
