OHIO — A long-term investigation by the Athens County Drug Task Force led to the seizure of drugs, firearms, and cash at a residence in the New Marshfield area.
On the morning of the search, authorities raided a home, vehicles, and outbuildings along State Route 56.
Detectives recovered three-quarters of a pound of suspected methamphetamine, several firearms, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and cash.
Gene F. Perry Jr., 65, and Della Clark, 62, both of 2676 State Route 56, were arrested at the scene.
Perry faces charges of trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs, and having weapons under disability.
Clark is charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs. Additionally, Clark had an active warrant for her arrest.
Both suspects are currently being held at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
The drugs, firearms, and other evidence will be submitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) for further analysis.
The case is being forwarded to the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office, with additional charges expected.
